About this asset

This SketchUp dining chair features a natural wood frame, woven rattan backrest, and a draped fabric throw for added realism. This dining chair showcases a classic bentwood-inspired silhouette, characterised by its curved frame and organic aesthetic. The structure is crafted from wood with a visible grain, complemented by a woven rattan backrest and a circular seat panel. A soft, off-white fabric throw is draped casually over the backrest, adding a layer of visual texture and domestic warmth to the piece. The proportions are balanced, with slender, tapered legs providing a stable base. This model is well-suited for interiors that favour natural materials and a minimalist, relaxed, or Japandi-inspired design language.

The download is a 39.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best managed by placing it within a dedicated 'furniture' layer to maintain scene organisation. The model relies on clean geometry for the wood frame and detailed textures for the woven rattan sections. Users should ensure that the material UVs are correctly aligned upon insertion. If rendering with external plugins, applying a slight bump map to the rattan and a soft fabric material to the draped throw will significantly enhance the final output quality in your visualisation.

Ideal for residential dining rooms, boutique cafes, and hospitality projects, this chair adds an inviting touch to any interior space. It pairs effectively with timber dining tables or as a standalone accent piece in a bedroom or reading nook. Designers frequently search for this type of seating when specifying furniture for projects that require a light, airy, and tactile aesthetic. It serves as an excellent addition to scenes needing a lived-in, approachable atmosphere, fitting seamlessly into contemporary or rustic-modern interior design schemes.
