About this asset

This 3ds Max lounge chair features a natural rattan frame with a vibrant green base cushion and a patterned beige back cushion. Constructed from organic rattan, this lounge chair displays a distinct bohemian aesthetic characterized by its curved structural frame and intricate woven lashings at the joints. The design includes a deep, solid green seat cushion paired with a smaller back cushion featuring a subtle beige geometric pattern. The frame is composed of bent rattan poles that form a supportive, open-back silhouette, resting on a stable four-legged base. Its proportions are suited for relaxed seating, offering a tactile contrast between the smooth, light-toned natural wood finish of the frame and the soft, upholstered textile cushions.

The download is a 6.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this model is structured with logical grouping for easy manipulation of the cushions versus the rattan frame. Users should ensure the rattan material is mapped with appropriate UV coordinates to highlight the natural grain and texture of the material. The cushions benefit from a basic cloth modifier adjustment if further deformation is required to suit specific scene seating arrangements. Lighting should be set to accentuate the depth of the woven frame and the soft diffuse properties of the fabric upholstery.

Ideal for residential interior projects, this lounge chair fits seamlessly into sunrooms, reading nooks, or casual living areas. It pairs well with other natural materials like jute rugs, indoor plants, and timber side tables to create a relaxed, airy atmosphere. Professional designers often search for this asset when specifying furniture for tropical-themed hotel lobbies or boutique café seating areas. It serves as an effective accent piece, bringing texture and warmth to modern, minimalist, or eclectic room layouts where organic elements are desired.
