Modern White and Walnut Under-Stair Storage Unit

This modern under-stair storage unit for SketchUp features a walnut open-shelving grid and white cabinetry with marble-tread stairs. Designed as a space-saving architectural intervention, this unit occupies the void beneath a staircase. It comprises a series of open cubbies finished in a rich walnut veneer, ideal for books and decor, alongside a tall, solid-fronted white cabinet for concealed storage. The base of the unit features a continuous row of white push-to-open drawers. The staircase itself is integrated into the assembly, featuring crisp white risers and contrasting black marble treads with white veining. The proportions are tailored for standard residential stair runs, providing a clean, functional transition between levels.

The download is a 39.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is structured for easy placement along a wall or staircase run. Users should manage the model using the Outliner to toggle between the shelving, cabinet, and stair components. The materials are applied as standard textures, allowing for quick adjustments to the walnut wood grain or marble mapping. When integrating into a larger project, ensure the staircase geometry is aligned to the floor-to-floor height of your specific building section to maintain accurate clearance and circulation paths.
