About this asset

This modern SketchUp model features a set of two fabric curtains, one in white and one in grey, with realistic vertical pleat detailing. These floor-length curtains are presented as a two-piece set, featuring a clean, minimalist aesthetic suitable for contemporary interiors. Each panel is rendered with consistent, vertical soft-fold pleats that suggest a heavy, high-quality fabric. The white panel offers a neutral, bright finish, while the charcoal-grey panel provides a deeper contrast, allowing for versatile layering or individual use. The geometry is clean, focusing on the natural drape of the textile as it falls to the floor, creating a sense of depth and movement without unnecessary complexity in the mesh structure.

The download is a 42.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this asset into a SketchUp scene, import the component and use the native scale tool to adjust the width and height to fit specific window openings. The geometry is organized as a group, allowing for easy placement along a curtain rod or track. Users should verify the face orientation to ensure correct material rendering. Applying a subtle transparency or translucency setting in the material editor can help simulate the light-filtering properties of real-world fabric during the rendering process.

These curtains are essential for residential bedroom, living room, and dining area visualizations where soft, tactile elements are required to complete a space. They pair well with minimalist furniture and neutral palettes, adding warmth to otherwise stark architectural environments. Professionals searching for window dressings, drapes, or textile elements for high-end interior design projects will find these models useful for adding realism to window reveals. They are particularly effective when placed in pairs or layered to create a more sophisticated, multi-textured window treatment look.
