Modern Grey and White Modular Bookshelf with Integrated Air Conditioning

This modern 3ds Max bookshelf features a grey and white modular frame with an integrated wall-mounted air conditioning unit. This large-scale, three-bay wall unit is constructed from a combination of grey and white finished wood panels. The design incorporates a mix of full-width open shelving and smaller, subdivided cubby spaces intended for display or book storage. Notably, the upper central section is specifically recessed to accommodate a wall-mounted air conditioning unit, creating a cohesive aesthetic that blends utility with storage. The unit is styled with various decorative books and small objects, demonstrating its functionality for organized shelving in a contemporary interior setting, while maintaining a clean, minimalist structural profile.

The download is a 21.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with logical grouping, allowing for quick placement within a scene. Users should check the pivot point for alignment against wall surfaces and verify that the material IDs are correctly assigned for individual adjustment of the grey and white finishes. The unit can be scaled to fit specific room heights or widths as a base for custom joinery, and the decorative accessories are separated into distinct layers for easier management or removal during rendering.

Ideal for contemporary living rooms, home offices, or high-end residential lobbies, this wall unit serves as a functional focal point. It pairs well with modern lounge furniture and minimalist decor. Professionals often search for this type of asset when designing bespoke joinery or built-in storage solutions that require the integration of technical equipment like HVAC units. Its neutral colour palette ensures versatility across various interior design schemes, from Scandinavian-inspired spaces to more industrial or urban apartment layouts.
