Modern Decorative Wall Panel with Concave Tiles

This SketchUp model of a modern decorative wall panel features a grid of concave ceramic tiles in white and beige for interior surfaces. The panel consists of a square frame containing a 4x4 grid of individual, subtly concave square tiles. These tiles create a rhythmic, undulating surface geometry that plays with light and shadow. The majority of the tiles are finished in a clean matte white, while two strategically placed tiles feature a soft beige tone, adding a subtle accent. The recessed background behind the tiles is a muted terracotta, providing depth and contrast to the overall assembly. The clean, geometric composition makes this an effective element for adding texture to flat wall surfaces.

The download is a 1.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best handled as a single group or component for easy placement onto vertical surfaces. Users should ensure the face normal is oriented correctly toward the camera. Because the geometry is relatively simple, it can be scaled to cover larger areas by tiling the instances. Applying high-quality material textures to the individual tile faces will help achieve a realistic finish during rendering, while proper layer management will keep the scene organized when duplicating the module across expansive feature walls.

This panel is suited for feature walls in contemporary residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or high-end retail showrooms. It serves as a sophisticated backdrop for minimalist interiors, pairing well with plain plastered surfaces or timber joinery. Professionals looking for textured wall treatments or parametric-inspired geometric cladding will find this useful for defining focal points in interior design projects. It is ideal for visualising modern accent walls where a balance between clean lines and sculptural, tactile interest is required for aesthetic impact.
