About this asset

A modern charcoal and light wood bookcase for 3ds Max, featuring a modular grid with open shelves and integrated cabinet storage. This large-scale bookcase features a clean, rectilinear frame finished in a deep charcoal tone, providing a stark contrast to the light wood-grain cabinet doors. The unit is structured as a modular grid of varying widths and heights, designed to accommodate both display items and concealed storage. It includes a series of base-level cabinets, mid-level door panels, and a singular white cabinet section, all set against an open-shelving layout. The design balances negative space with functional storage, making it suitable for organised display. The unit comes pre-populated with books and various decorative accessories.

The download is a 20.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed through a clean layer structure, allowing for the easy isolation of the structural shelving from the decorative props. Users should ensure the pivot point is set to the base for precise placement against walls or within floor plans. Materials are mapped for efficient rendering, and the modular nature of the geometry allows for simple scaling or grouping if multiple units are required to fill larger architectural elevations or feature walls.

Ideal for contemporary residential living rooms, home offices, or executive library spaces, this bookcase functions as a primary storage solution or a decorative feature wall. It pairs well with minimalist furniture and neutral interior palettes. Professionals often search for this type of asset when specifying floor-to-ceiling storage units for high-end apartment projects, commercial reception areas, or study rooms. The included props make it ready for rapid visualisations, though it can be stripped down for more technical architectural documentation.
