About this asset

This modern brown metal room divider for SketchUp features a series of suspended geometric panels arranged in a vertical array. This decorative room divider consists of a series of thin, brown-toned metal triangular elements suspended from a horizontal top rail and anchored to a bottom rail. The geometric components are arranged in a repeating, staggered pattern, creating a semi-transparent screen that allows for visual interest while maintaining an open feel. The minimalist design relies on the clean lines of the vertical support wires and the uniform shape of the metal plates. It provides a contemporary solution for defining spaces within larger open-plan environments without the permanence of fixed wall construction.

The download is an 8.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this SketchUp model into a project, place the component as a single group to maintain the integrity of the suspended elements. Use the scaling tool to adjust the height to match floor-to-ceiling requirements, ensuring the top and bottom rails align with the structural planes. Organize the model on a dedicated layer for easy toggling during the design process. If applying custom textures or finishes, utilize the native material editor to map metallic properties onto the individual triangular surfaces for realistic light reflection.

Ideal for residential open-plan living areas, boutique hotel lobbies, and contemporary office reception spaces, this divider serves as an effective acoustic or visual screen. Architects and interior designers might specify this piece to delineate dining zones from lounge areas or to create private nooks in public spaces. It pairs effectively with minimalist furniture and industrial-style interiors.
