Modern Black Leather Metal Frame Armchair

This modern armchair for 3ds Max features a minimalist black leather seat suspended within a sleek, geometric tubular metal frame. Defined by its stark industrial aesthetic, this armchair features a clean-lined metal frame finished in matte black. The seat and backrest are constructed from stretched leather panels, providing a firm, architectural profile. The design emphasises structural honesty, with exposed joints and a linear silhouette that prioritises geometric simplicity. The armrests are integrated into the frame, maintaining a cohesive, uninterrupted visual flow. This piece is ideal for interior schemes that require a bold, monochromatic accent, offering a balance between rigid structural support and the refined, tactile quality of premium black leather upholstery.

The download is a 17.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming to facilitate easy manipulation. The leather and metal materials are set up as separate sub-objects, allowing for quick adjustments to reflection or glossiness settings to match your scene lighting. For optimal rendering, ensure the model is scaled according to your project units before placement. Using a custom HDRI map will help capture the subtle highlights on the tubular frame and the texture of the leather panels, enhancing the overall realism in your final render.
