About this asset

This modern bar stool, provided as a 3ds Max model, features a minimalist design with a beige fabric seat and a slim black metal frame. Defined by its clean, contemporary lines, this bar stool consists of a circular upholstered seat and a matching oval-shaped backrest. The upholstery is a neutral, textured beige fabric that contrasts with the slender, dark-finished metal frame. The four straight legs are reinforced by a simple structural support, maintaining a lightweight and airy aesthetic. The proportions are balanced, making the piece suitable for high-top tables or kitchen islands where a compact footprint is required. Its simple geometry ensures it integrates seamlessly into various interior styles without overwhelming the surrounding visual space.

The download is a 17.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When working in 3ds Max, this model is managed through standard object layers, allowing for easy selection and material adjustments. Users should check the pivot point at the base of the legs for accurate placement on floor planes. Texture mapping is straightforward, as the fabric and metal components are typically separated by material IDs. For high-quality visualisations, apply a subtle bump map to the fabric to enhance the woven detail and ensure realistic light interaction on the metal frame surfaces.

This bar stool is ideal for residential kitchen islands, breakfast bars, and high-top dining arrangements. It also serves well in commercial hospitality settings such as boutique cafes, modern bars, or hotel lounge areas. Designers often pair this stool with marble or timber-topped counters to create a sophisticated, neutral palette.
