About this asset

This 3ds Max model of a minimalist double bed features a natural wood frame and an extended slatted headboard with soft bedding. This platform-style double bed is defined by its clean, linear aesthetic and warm timber finish. The frame sits on a recessed base, creating a subtle floating effect. A prominent feature is the wide, integrated headboard composed of vertical timber slats that span beyond the width of the mattress, adding architectural interest to a bedroom wall. The bed is dressed with a neutral grey duvet, two textured scatter cushions, and a single blue lumbar pillow, providing a soft contrast to the rigid, structured wooden elements of the bed frame itself.

The download is a 33.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers for easy manipulation. Users can adjust the material IDs to modify the timber grain or fabric textures to suit specific interior schemes. The geometry is clean, allowing for efficient placement within a scene. When merging into a larger project, ensure the pivot point is set to the base for precise floor alignment. Lighting should focus on highlighting the texture of the slatted headboard, perhaps using a soft area light to accentuate the depth of the vertical panels.

Ideal for residential bedrooms and boutique hotel suites, this bed serves as a focal point in contemporary or minimalist interior design projects. It pairs well with neutral palettes, soft ambient lighting, and natural textures like linen or wool. Architects and interior designers might search for this asset when specifying furniture for master suites or guest rooms where a clean, uncluttered look is required. It provides a versatile, high-quality base for staging photorealistic bedroom visualisations in both architectural and interior design portfolios.
