About this asset

This minimalist grey rectangular rug is a 3ds Max model featuring a subtle, consistent linear pattern across its entire surface. This rectangular floor covering features a sophisticated, monochromatic grey palette with a clean, low-profile aesthetic. The surface is defined by a repetitive, fine linear texture that runs the length of the rug, creating subtle visual depth and a refined tactile quality. Its proportions are suited for defining zones within open-plan spaces, providing a neutral foundation that integrates seamlessly into contemporary or minimalist interior schemes. The edges are finished cleanly, ensuring a sharp profile when placed on hard-surface flooring, while the uniform weave ensures consistent light absorption and minimal visual distraction in any rendered scene.

The download is an 8.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this rug is best utilised as a flat, ground-plane element. Users should ensure the object is properly aligned with the floor surface to avoid z-fighting. The texture mapping is set to follow the linear pattern, allowing for easy scaling to fit specific room dimensions without distorting the weave. It is recommended to apply a subtle bump or displacement map to enhance the appearance of the linear striations during final rendering, ensuring the material feels grounded within the space.

Ideal for residential living rooms, bedrooms, or high-end office reception areas, this rug serves as a versatile anchor for furniture groupings. It pairs exceptionally well with sleek, modern sofas and minimalist coffee tables, providing warmth without overwhelming the room's design. Professionals searching for neutral floor textiles will find this asset useful for staging refined, uncluttered interiors. Whether for a hospitality suite or a contemporary home project, its understated design ensures it complements a wide variety of furniture styles and colour palettes.
