About this asset

This minimalist charcoal wood stool for 3ds Max features a curved seat top and tapered legs, styled here with a stack of books. This small stool presents a clean, minimalist aesthetic defined by its dark, charcoal-stained timber construction. The seat features a subtle concave curve, providing a soft contrast to the four straight, tapered legs that splay slightly outwards for structural stability. The wood grain remains visible through the deep finish, suggesting a high-quality hardwood base. Included in this set are two decorative books resting on the seat, which add a sense of scale and utility to the composition. The overall proportions are compact, intended for use as an accent piece or low-profile seating.

The download is a 2.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the object pivot is set to the base of the legs for easy placement on floor surfaces. The geometry is clean, allowing for simple material overrides if a different wood finish is required. Users should check the scale against their interior scene units, as this piece is designed for auxiliary use. The books are separate objects, permitting them to be moved or removed entirely to suit specific project requirements and composition needs.

This stool serves as a versatile accent piece in residential living rooms, bedrooms, or boutique hotel suites. It functions effectively as a side table for small spaces, a plant stand, or a decorative element in a reading nook. Designers often specify such pieces to fill awkward corners or to add texture to minimalist interiors. It pairs well with low-slung lounge chairs or as an unobtrusive addition to modern bedroom schemes where space is at a premium and functional decor is preferred.
