About this asset

This minimalist black lacquered low coffee table for 3ds Max features a square profile and integrated storage with decorative accessories. This square, low-profile coffee table is finished in a smooth, matte black lacquer. The design features a continuous, box-like frame that creates an open storage void, suitable for keeping books or magazines neatly organised. The surface is currently styled with two cylindrical, ribbed glass vases and an open book, providing a sense of scale and materiality. The construction is clean and linear, focusing on geometric simplicity. The unit sits on a recessed base, giving it a subtle floating effect, while the overall proportions are compact and well-suited for contemporary lounge spaces.

The download is a 6.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this model into a 3ds Max scene, use the merge command to import the file into your current project. The object is organised by logical layers, allowing you to easily toggle the visibility of the decorative items if only the furniture piece is required. Apply your preferred materials to the base geometry to match your specific lighting environment, and ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned at the base for accurate placement on your floor plane.

Ideal for modern living room designs, this table serves as a functional centrepiece or a sophisticated addition to a lounge area. It works well in minimalist interiors or high-end residential projects where clean lines and dark, monochromatic palettes are essential. Professionals often search for low-profile tables to complement sectional sofas or to act as a secondary surface in a study or reading nook. The inclusion of decorative props makes it a convenient asset for quick staging in architectural visualisations.
