About this asset

This mid-century 3ds Max armchair features a tan leather sling seat suspended within a dark wood frame for a classic lounge aesthetic. Defined by its minimalist profile, this armchair features a continuous leather sling that serves as both seat and backrest, pulled taut across a refined dark wood frame. The timber structure consists of four tapered legs connected by simple, clean horizontal rails, providing a stable yet lightweight appearance. The contrast between the rich, dark-stained wood and the light tan leather creates a balanced visual weight. Its proportions are low-slung, typical of lounge seating designed for comfort and ease, making it a versatile addition to any interior scheme requiring a touch of mid-century modern character.

The download is a 1.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the texture maps for the leather and timber grain are correctly path-linked. The geometry is clean and suitable for architectural visualization, allowing for easy placement within interior scenes. Use standard material slots to adjust the glossiness or bump maps if you need to refine the leather's texture for close-up shots. The model is scaled for standard seating heights, so minimal adjustment is required when importing into your project's master file or scene library.

This armchair is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive office waiting areas. Its understated silhouette pairs well with contemporary or mid-century interior design styles. Architects and interior designers often specify this type of seating for reading nooks, lounge spaces, or as a feature piece in a modern study.
