Mid-Century Grey Leather and Wood Lounge Chair

This mid-century lounge chair, modelled for 3ds Max, features a warm timber frame paired with minimalist grey leather upholstery. Defined by its sculptural timber frame and distinct profile, this lounge chair embodies mid-century aesthetics. The structure consists of angled wooden legs that rise to support the armrests and the backrest assembly. The seat and back are upholstered in a smooth, matte grey leather, providing a subtle contrast against the natural wood grain of the frame. The proportions are compact, featuring a slightly reclined backrest and wide, flat armrests that integrate seamlessly into the main support structure. Every connection point highlights the fine joinery typical of high-quality furniture design.

The download is a 9.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the geometry is merged into your scene at the correct scale. The material IDs are assigned to separate the timber frame from the leather cushions, allowing for easy texture adjustments or material swaps. Use the standard pivot point at the base of the legs for accurate placement on floor surfaces. For high-quality visualisations, apply a subtle bump map to the leather to enhance realism and adjust the wood material's glossiness to match your scene's lighting environment.

This lounge chair is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive office waiting areas. Its clean lines and compact footprint make it a versatile choice for contemporary or mid-century themed interiors. It pairs well with low-profile coffee tables, textured area rugs, and minimalist floor lamps. Professionals looking for a statement accent chair will find this asset useful for creating comfortable reading nooks or conversational groupings in both architectural visualisations and interior design presentations for high-end projects.
