Mid-Century Grey Fabric Lounge Chair with Wood Frame

This mid-century 3ds Max lounge chair features a grey fabric upholstery and a natural wood frame, accented by a draped throw. This lounge chair exhibits classic mid-century lines, characterised by a raked backrest and slender, tapered timber legs. The frame is constructed from natural-toned wood, showcasing visible grain textures on the armrests and structural supports. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a soft, grey fabric, providing a tactile contrast to the solid timber elements. A loose, matching grey throw blanket is draped over one arm, adding a layer of visual softness and realism to the composition. The proportions are compact, making it suitable for intimate seating arrangements in contemporary or vintage-inspired interiors.

The download is a 31.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset into a 3ds Max project, merge the file directly into your scene using the layer manager to maintain organisation. The materials are pre-assigned, but you may need to re-link textures if the asset is moved to a different directory. Given the soft fabric and wood surfaces, ensure your lighting setup includes a high-quality HDRI to capture the subtle reflections on the timber and the depth of the fabric folds. Use a standard physical camera for accurate perspective and depth of field adjustments.

This lounge chair is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or private reading nooks where a mid-century aesthetic is desired. It pairs well with low-profile coffee tables, textured area rugs, and minimalist floor lamps. Professionals searching for accent seating will find this piece useful for staging interior visualisations, particularly in projects requiring a lived-in, comfortable atmosphere. It serves as an effective focal point in both modern and retro-styled spaces, providing both functional utility and a sense of warmth to the overall environment.
