Mid-Century Grey Fabric and Rattan Armchair

This mid-century 3ds Max armchair features a solid wood frame with a woven rattan backrest and a grey upholstered fabric seat cushion. Defined by its clean lines and organic materials, this armchair showcases a warm timber frame with curved armrests that transition seamlessly into the back supports. The backrest is composed of a rectangular panel of traditional cane webbing, providing a light, breathable aesthetic that contrasts with the upholstered seat. The seat cushion is finished in a neutral grey textile, offering a comfortable contrast to the natural wood grain and woven texture of the back. Its proportions are balanced for lounge comfort, making it a versatile piece for various interior design styles, from minimalist to bohemian.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the object is placed at the correct floor level using the snap-to-grid tool. The materials are logically grouped, allowing for easy texture adjustments or re-mapping to suit specific lighting conditions. Best practice involves checking the mesh density and applying a smoothing modifier if necessary for close-up shots. Organize the asset into a dedicated layer to maintain a clean scene hierarchy, especially when populating larger residential or hospitality interior design projects.

This armchair is an ideal choice for residential living rooms, reading nooks, or hotel lounge areas where a mid-century or organic modern aesthetic is required. It pairs well with low-profile coffee tables and side tables, making it a functional accent piece. Professionals frequently search for this type of seating when specifying furniture for boutique hotel lobbies, residential apartments, or creative office break-out spaces.
