About this asset

This 3ds Max armchair features a mid-century wooden frame with plush orange fabric cushions and an integrated houndstooth throw blanket. Defined by its angular timber frame and clean lines, this armchair exemplifies mid-century modern design. The structure consists of a dark-stained wood frame with a slightly reclined backrest, supporting two thick, tufted orange fabric cushions. The seat and back are distinct, providing a relaxed, ergonomic posture. A small, black-and-white houndstooth-patterned throw is draped over the armrest, adding a textured contrast to the smooth upholstery and wood finish. The piece is lightweight in appearance, with slender legs and open sides that maintain a sense of airiness within the surrounding interior space.

In 3ds Max, this asset is typically handled as a single group or collapsed mesh object. Users should verify the pivot point at the base of the legs for easy placement on floor planes. The materials are standard, allowing for quick adjustments to the wood grain or fabric sheen. It is best practice to keep the throw blanket as a separate sub-object or element to allow for easy repositioning or removal depending on the desired level of clutter in the final render.

Ideal for residential living rooms, reading nooks, or boutique hotel lobbies, this armchair serves as a versatile accent piece. It pairs effectively with low-profile coffee tables and minimalist rugs to reinforce a mid-century or contemporary aesthetic. Designers often search for this type of seating when specifying furniture for high-end residential projects, lounge areas, or staging for interior photography. Its neutral wood and vibrant fabric make it a strong candidate for adding character to otherwise muted or monochromatic interior design schemes.
