About this asset

This Japanese-style dark wood cabinet set for SketchUp features a slatted door and includes decorative bonsai-themed accessories. This storage unit features a balanced, asymmetrical design with one solid wood door and one vertical slatted door, evoking traditional Japanese craftsmanship. The cabinet is finished in a deep, rich brown timber tone with a pronounced wood grain. It stands on slender, tapered legs, providing a lightweight aesthetic despite its solid construction. The set includes a circular wall-mounted frame with a textured insert, a miniature bonsai tree, and several small decorative vessels, creating a cohesive vignette suitable for an entryway or a quiet living space corner. The proportions are compact and refined.

The download is a 89.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups for easy manipulation. Users can scale the cabinet to suit specific floor-to-ceiling heights or modify the internal shelving by accessing the component groups. The materials are applied as standard textures, allowing for quick adjustments to the wood grain orientation or colour mapping within the native materials editor. Position the unit against wall surfaces and use the included decorative set to populate the scene, ensuring the geometry is correctly oriented for optimal rendering results.

Ideal for residential interior design, this cabinet is well-suited for entryways, hallways, or living rooms where a focus on calm, zen-inspired aesthetics is required. It serves as an excellent focal point in minimalist or Japandi-themed projects. Professionals searching for Asian-style storage, slatted wood furniture, or curated entry vignettes will find this asset versatile for both residential and boutique hotel lobby designs. It pairs seamlessly with neutral-toned walls, natural stone flooring, and soft, diffused lighting setups to maintain a balanced, serene atmosphere.
