About this asset

This contemporary upholstered bench for 3ds Max features a classic monochrome houndstooth fabric pattern and a low-profile base. This rectangular bench is defined by its clean, elongated silhouette and bold houndstooth textile upholstery. The seat surface is subtly tufted, providing a structured, tactile finish that breaks up the repeating geometric pattern. It sits on a recessed, dark-toned plinth base that creates a clean separation between the floor and the upholstered volume. The proportions are balanced for use at the foot of a bed or within a contemporary living area. The overall construction is minimal, focusing on the high-contrast graphic impact of the fabric choice against the simple, geometric form of the seat.

The download is a 19.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, verify that the UV mapping for the houndstooth pattern is scaled correctly to match your project's texture density. The model is provided as a single object, making it straightforward to position within interior layouts. Ensure the pivot point is set to the base for easy alignment with floor surfaces. If adjusting the material, use the provided fabric diffuse map as a base for customising the fabric sheen or bump settings to suit your specific lighting environment.

This piece is ideal for adding a graphic focal point to residential bedrooms, walk-in closets, or modern dressing areas. It works well as an accent piece in a formal hallway or at the end of a king-sized bed. Designers often search for this type of bench when looking for patterned seating to break up neutral colour palettes. It pairs effectively with minimalist bedroom furniture or as a striking contrast in an otherwise monochromatic interior scheme, providing both functional seating and a strong visual statement.
