About this asset

This mid-century style lounge chair, modelled for 3ds Max, features a black and white houndstooth fabric upholstery and a wooden frame. Defined by its mid-century aesthetic, this lounge chair features a distinct houndstooth pattern across its upholstered seat and backrest. The frame is constructed from dark-stained wood, showcasing elegant, sweeping armrests that transition smoothly into the legs. A soft, blush-pink fabric throw is draped over one arm, adding a layer of visual texture and casual comfort to the silhouette. The piece is compact, with a curved backrest that provides ergonomic support while maintaining a slim profile, making it a versatile choice for both contemporary and vintage-inspired interior design schemes.

The download is a 24.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset into your 3ds Max scene, ensure the native units are set to match your project scale before merging. The model is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for easy selection of the chair and the draped throw independently. Materials are mapped with standard coordinates; adjust the tiling of the fabric texture if necessary to suit your render resolution. Lighting the scene with a soft HDRI will highlight the subtle sheen of the dark wood and the fine weave of the upholstery.

This lounge chair works well as an accent piece in residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading corners. Its classic houndstooth pattern pairs effectively with minimalist side tables or mid-century floor lamps. Professionals searching for a stylish seating solution will find this model useful for interior visualisations where a touch of texture and warmth is required. It is ideally suited for projects aiming for a blend of classic charm and modern comfort, serving as a focal point in any seating arrangement.
