About this asset

This modern square ottoman in a black and white houndstooth fabric is a SketchUp model featuring a compact, clean-lined design. This square ottoman features a structured, upholstered seat finished in a classic monochrome houndstooth pattern. It is supported by four slender, minimalist legs constructed from black metal, which provide a sharp contrast to the soft textile upholstery. The proportions are balanced, offering a versatile piece that functions as a footstool, extra seating, or a decorative accent. Included in the set are two framed wall art prints, which complement the contemporary aesthetic of the ottoman. The overall design emphasizes geometric simplicity and clean lines, making it suitable for various refined interior settings.

The download is a 1.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised as a group or component, allowing for easy placement within a scene. You should ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for furniture to maintain a clean project structure. Scaling should be performed uniformly if adjustments are required to fit specific room dimensions. The fabric texture is mapped to the box geometry, which can be easily replaced or adjusted using the material editor to suit different design schemes or colour palettes.

This piece is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique retail showrooms, and modern hotel lobby areas. It pairs well with minimalist sofas or as a standalone accent near a feature wall with framed artwork. Professionals would search for this item when looking for small-scale accent seating or modular furniture that adds texture without overwhelming a space. It is particularly useful during the concept and design development stages for creating realistic interior visualisations in contemporary or transitional style projects.
