About this asset

This contemporary armchair set, modelled for 3ds Max, features two houndstooth-upholstered chairs paired with a compact wooden side table. This seating set comprises two wing-back style armchairs and a circular side table. The chairs feature a distinct black and white houndstooth pattern on the exterior shell, contrasted by solid beige seat cushions and backrests. They are supported by light-toned wooden legs in a splayed, tapered profile. A dark grey scatter cushion sits on each chair. The companion side table features a circular wooden top supported by a central pedestal base. The proportions are compact, suitable for intimate lounge areas, reading nooks, or hotel lobby corners where space is at a premium.

The download is a 9.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 3 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When working in 3ds Max, this set is organised as a cohesive group, allowing for immediate placement into your scene. The geometry is clean, with distinct material IDs assigned to the fabric, timber, and metal components. Users should verify that the pivot points are set to the base of each object for easy rotation and snapping. Apply your preferred render engine materials to the base slots, ensuring the fabric textures are correctly mapped to the curved surfaces of the chair shells.

These armchairs are well-suited for residential living rooms, boutique hotel suites, or modern office breakout spaces. They provide a refined accent in neutral interiors, particularly when paired with a coordinating rug or floor lamp. Architects and interior designers often search for such sets when specifying furniture for reading corners or informal meeting zones. The houndstooth pattern adds a classic, tailored aesthetic that works effectively in both minimalist and eclectic design schemes, offering a sophisticated visual anchor for small-scale interior layouts.
