About this asset

This rectangular shaggy rug for 3ds Max features a dense, multi-tonal grey and white pile, providing a soft texture for interior spaces. Designed with a high-pile shaggy finish, this rectangular area rug exhibits a varied greyscale aesthetic that creates depth through contrasting light and dark fibres. The surface appearance suggests a soft, synthetic textile construction suitable for adding visual warmth to a room. Its edges are clean and consistent, maintaining a standard rectangular profile that integrates easily into various floor plans. The dense tufting provides a realistic appearance, ensuring that the rug serves as a tactile focal point in any composition without overwhelming the surrounding furniture or architectural elements.

The download is a 3.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is best utilised by placing it directly onto floor surfaces using snapping tools to ensure perfect alignment. Users should check the material editor to adjust the displacement or bump maps if necessary, depending on the required level of detail for specific camera angles. Since the asset is a single object, it is easily scaled to fit various room dimensions, and the material settings can be tweaked to match the overall lighting environment of the scene.

This rug works well in modern residential living rooms, bedrooms, or hotel suites where a soft, inviting atmosphere is desired. It pairs effectively with minimalist seating, low-profile coffee tables, or alongside beds to add texture to hard flooring surfaces. Professionals looking for a versatile piece to ground a furniture arrangement or provide a neutral base for a colour scheme will find this asset useful. It is frequently searched as a shaggy area rug, bedroom carpet, or contemporary textile floor covering.
