About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp lounge chair features grey fabric upholstery and a matching faux fur cushion on a sleek metal frame. This contemporary lounge chair is defined by its clean, boxy silhouette and tufted upholstery. The seat and backrest are finished in a neutral grey fabric, featuring subtle grid-pattern stitching that adds structured detail. The frame is constructed from a simple, angular metal base, providing a lightweight yet stable profile. A plush, high-pile faux fur cushion is included as a loose accessory, resting against the backrest to provide texture and comfort. The overall aesthetic is minimalist, focusing on geometric forms and monochromatic tones, making it a versatile piece for various interior design schemes.

The download is a 54 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this model into a SketchUp project, ensure the component is placed on a dedicated layer for seating to maintain scene organisation. The geometry is clean, allowing for easy placement against walls or as a standalone accent. Users should apply high-quality fabric and metal textures to the existing UV mapping to achieve realistic light interaction. If scaling, use the scale tool with a consistent ratio to preserve the proportions of the frame and the tufted seat details during the rendering process.

Ideal for residential living rooms, reading nooks, or modern hotel lobbies, this lounge chair serves as a functional accent piece. Designers often use such models to populate interior visualisations where a balance of comfort and contemporary style is required. It pairs well with minimalist side tables, floor lamps, or neutral-toned rugs.
