About this asset

This contemporary floor-to-ceiling curtain assembly in SketchUp features a heavy grey fabric outer drape paired with a light, translucent sheer inner layer. The assembly consists of two distinct components designed to provide both privacy and light diffusion. The primary outer curtains are rendered in a medium-grey, textured fabric with deep, uniform vertical pleats that create a structured, formal appearance. Behind these, a secondary layer of sheer, white fabric provides a soft, diffused light effect. The curtains extend from floor to ceiling, offering a clean, modern aesthetic that works well in both residential and hospitality environments. The proportions are balanced, ensuring the drapes appear natural when positioned against standard window frames and interior wall surfaces.

The download is a 4.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this model into a SketchUp project, place the assembly as a component to ensure easy adjustment of the overall width to match specific window dimensions. Users should verify the scale against the model's wall height and use the native material editor to adjust the opacity of the sheer layer for desired light transmission. Ensure the pivot point is aligned with the wall or curtain track for efficient snapping and placement within the architectural scene.

These curtains are suitable for residential living rooms, master bedrooms, and high-end hotel suites where a layered window treatment is required. They pair effectively with minimalist or contemporary furniture, providing a soft contrast to hard surfaces like timber floors or stone accents. Professionals might search for this asset when specifying window coverings for interior design visualization, seeking a realistic drape that adds depth and texture to a room's perimeter without cluttering the overall design scheme.
