About this asset

This modern grey fabric Roman blind for 3ds Max features a clean, horizontal fold design and a functional side-chain mechanism. This window treatment consists of a structured fabric panel that folds neatly into horizontal sections when raised. The textile has a subtle, uniform texture, finished in a neutral grey tone. A rigid, minimalist top headrail houses the internal cord system, which is operated by a slender vertical chain hanging from the left side. The proportions are balanced, designed to sit flush against a window frame or within a recess. The clean lines and consistent folds provide a tailored look, suitable for contemporary interiors where functional window control is required without the bulk of traditional curtains.

The download is a 7.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset into a 3ds Max project, merge the file into your scene and position it at the desired window head height. The fabric geometry is modelled to allow for scaling to fit specific window widths and heights. Ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned at the top rear for easy placement. Users can apply custom fabric shaders to the mesh to match project-specific material palettes and adjust the chain opacity or mapping if necessary for close-up render shots.

Roman blinds are an essential detail for residential bedrooms, home offices, and high-end hospitality suites where a minimalist aesthetic is preferred. They work effectively in small-scale urban apartments or professional workspaces to manage natural light while maintaining privacy. Architects and interior designers often specify these for clean, uncluttered window treatments that do not interfere with furniture placement. Search for this model when detailing window elevations or adding realistic interior accessories to architectural visualisations, especially when pairing with modern joinery or neutral wall finishes.
