About this asset

These contemporary floor-length pleated curtains are provided as a SketchUp model, featuring a clean, neutral grey fabric design. This pair of floor-length curtains features a uniform, vertical pleated heading that creates consistent, soft folds from top to bottom. The fabric has a matte, textile appearance suitable for rendering realistic light diffusion in interior scenes. The curtains are presented as a symmetrical pair, designed to hang naturally against a window or wall surface. The geometry is clean, focusing on the drape and volume of the material to provide a realistic sense of weight and textile texture, making them a versatile choice for various interior design applications requiring a polished, minimalist window treatment.

The download is a 2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these curtains are best managed as a component to allow for easy scaling to match specific window heights and widths. Users should place the component against the interior face of the wall or window frame. Since the geometry is relatively simple, applying a high-quality fabric texture with appropriate bump mapping will enhance the visual depth. Ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for window treatments to maintain scene organization and facilitate quick toggling during the final rendering process.

These curtains are ideal for residential living rooms, bedrooms, and hotel suites where a clean, contemporary aesthetic is required. They pair well with modern interior styles, providing a subtle, functional layer that softens the transition between interior spaces and exterior views. Professionals can use these in architectural visualisations for residential developments, hospitality projects, or high-end office reception areas.
