About this asset

This classic SketchUp model features a double-layer fabric curtain assembly in grey and white, complete with a decorative swag and tie-backs. This window treatment set consists of a sheer white inner curtain layer paired with heavier grey outer panels. The assembly features a structured upper swag valance that drapes elegantly across the top of the rod. Two matching tie-backs gather the outer grey panels to create a soft, pleated aesthetic. The entire unit is supported by a simple horizontal curtain rod with spherical finials on each end. The fabric texture is rendered to show natural folds and gravity-induced draping, providing a realistic look for interior visualisation projects that require a formal, traditional window dressing.

The download is a 4.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this asset into a SketchUp scene, place the component against a wall surface or window frame. Use the scale tool to adjust the width and height to fit specific opening dimensions, ensuring the rod ends are properly positioned. The model is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy material assignment or texture replacement if a different fabric finish is required. Apply a translucent material to the inner layer to simulate light filtration during rendering, while keeping the outer panels opaque.

These curtains are suitable for residential living rooms, master bedrooms, and formal dining areas where a classic, layered window treatment is desired. They also function well in hospitality projects such as hotel suites or boutique lobby interiors to add a sense of luxury and softness. Architects and designers can search for this asset when specifying window coverings that require a decorative, traditional aesthetic. It pairs effectively with classic furniture styles and works well in both daylight and evening-themed interior renders.
