About this asset

This set of modern grey aluminium venetian blinds for SketchUp provides precise horizontal slat geometry for window detailing. These horizontal venetian blinds feature slender aluminium slats finished in a neutral grey tone. The set includes three distinct widths to accommodate varying window apertures, from narrow vertical lights to wider configurations. Each unit is detailed with a matching headrail, bottom rail, and integrated operating cord mechanism for a realistic appearance. The slats are modelled with consistent spacing to simulate a natural drape when closed or partially retracted. The clean, minimalist aesthetic ensures these blinds integrate seamlessly into contemporary interiors without visual clutter, offering a functional solution for light control and privacy.

The download is a 31.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 3 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate these blinds into a SketchUp scene, import the component and use the native scale tool to adjust the height if necessary to match specific window frames. Place the headrail at the top of the reveals and ensure the pivot point is aligned with the window face. Use layers or tags to manage visibility if toggling between open and closed positions, and apply custom materials to the slats if a different metallic finish or colour is required for specific interior schemes.

These blinds are suitable for residential living spaces, professional home offices, and commercial workplace environments where clean lines are prioritised. They pair effectively with minimalist glazing systems and modern window frames. Architects and interior designers will find these useful during the documentation and visualisation stages of high-end apartment or corporate fit-out projects. Search for these when specifying window treatments for contemporary interiors, seeking a balance between functional light regulation and a refined, uncluttered aesthetic that complements modern architectural hardware and neutral colour palettes.
