About this asset

Contemporary green velvet armchair and ottoman set, provided as a 3ds Max model featuring a shaggy rug and a plaid throw blanket. This lounge set features an organic-shaped armchair with a deep-seated shell, upholstered in a rich green velvet fabric. The chair is supported by slender, gold-finished metal legs that provide a refined contrast to the soft upholstery. A matching circular ottoman accompanies the chair, also resting on matching metal legs. The set is accessorised with a small scatter cushion and a draped, plaid-patterned wool throw blanket. Everything is presented atop a high-pile, white circular shaggy rug, creating a cohesive, tactile composition suitable for interior visualisation projects requiring a soft, inviting aesthetic.

The download is a 52.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 3 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers for easy management of the chair, ottoman, and rug geometry. Users can adjust the fabric shaders to suit specific lighting conditions or swap the texture maps to customise the velvet colour. The high-pile rug geometry is detailed, so ensure adequate memory allocation when rendering close-ups. The set is scaled for real-world proportions, allowing for quick placement within a scene using standard snapping tools or direct merging into the project file.

This set is ideal for residential living room designs, reading nooks, or high-end hotel lobby seating areas. It pairs well with minimalist or eclectic interior styles, providing a focal point in a master bedroom or a quiet corner of a library. Professionals often search for 'accent chair with ottoman' or 'lounge set' when populating residential floor plans. It is particularly effective for staging interior views where a sense of comfort and texture is required to balance hard architectural surfaces.
