About this asset

This contemporary rectangular area rug for SketchUp features a distressed grey fabric finish, providing a textured base for interior scenes. This rectangular area rug is defined by a subtle, distressed aesthetic that suggests a worn or vintage-inspired textile surface. The finish is predominantly grey, with variations in tone that imply a low-pile or flat-weave construction. Its clean, sharp edges make it suitable for modern settings where a grounding element is required without overwhelming the visual composition. The model is presented as a single, low-profile asset, designed to sit flush against floor planes in 3D environments, effectively simulating the appearance of a contemporary interior floor covering with a refined, understated character.

The download is a 15.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is best utilised by importing it directly into your scene and positioning it on the floor plane. Given its flat geometry, ensure it is slightly offset from the floor surface to prevent Z-fighting during rendering. Users can easily scale the rug to fit specific room dimensions or apply custom materials to the existing geometry if a different texture or pattern is required for a project-specific look.

This area rug is appropriate for residential living rooms, bedrooms, or hotel suites where a neutral, textural foundation is needed. It pairs effectively with minimalist or contemporary furniture arrangements, such as sleek sofas or low-profile coffee tables. Designers searching for a versatile floor accessory that adds depth without clutter will find this asset useful for staging interior visualizations and architectural presentations. It is a reliable choice for achieving a lived-in, sophisticated atmosphere in various interior design schemes.
