About this asset

This diverse set of sixteen decorative area rugs and carpets for SketchUp provides varied textures and patterns for interior floor finishes. This collection features a wide array of floor coverings ranging from standard rectangular area rugs to organic-shaped hides. The designs encompass a variety of aesthetic styles, including solid-colour textured weaves, geometric patterns, abstract artistic prints, and naturalistic animal-inspired motifs. Each piece is modeled as a flat, low-profile surface, making them ideal for layering under furniture groupings. The material variety is represented through distinct visual textures, ranging from fine-pile carpets to shaggy finishes and flat-woven textiles, providing a versatile library for defining zones within open-plan interior spaces.

The download is a 75.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 16 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these models are best utilised as components placed directly onto floor planes. Users can easily scale these rugs to fit specific room dimensions or furniture layouts. Because they are modeled as simple planes, they are lightweight and perform well in larger scenes. Apply your preferred render-ready materials or adjust the existing texture mapping within the material editor to match the specific lighting and reflective properties of your project's interior environment.

These carpets are essential for adding warmth and definition to living rooms, bedrooms, and home office layouts. They work effectively in residential design projects, hotel suites, and boutique retail showrooms to delineate seating areas or anchor furniture clusters. Professionals often search for these assets when looking for floor-finishing details to complete a render, pairing them with sofas, coffee tables, or dining sets to create a lived-in, cohesive atmosphere within a digital space.
