About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max sofa features a low-profile modular form upholstered in cream boucle fabric with contrasting brown cushions. Defined by its soft, rounded geometry and low-slung silhouette, this modular sofa offers a clean, contemporary aesthetic. The frame is fully upholstered in a textured cream boucle, which provides a tactile, organic finish. It is composed of two primary seat modules that create a seamless, cohesive look. Included in the set are two accent cushions in a contrasting dark brown velvet, along with a draped throw, adding layers of comfort and visual depth. The overall design prioritizes a relaxed, lounge-focused posture, making it well-suited for informal settings where comfort and style are balanced.

The download is a 20.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When working in 3ds Max, ensure the model is placed on the floor plane using the pivot point at the base of the frame. The textures are mapped to handle close-up camera angles, but you may need to adjust the tiling of the boucle fabric depending on your scene scale. The cushions and throw are separate objects, allowing for flexible arrangement or removal to suit specific composition needs. Use standard lighting setups to highlight the depth and texture of the boucle material.

This sofa is an ideal choice for modern living rooms, open-plan apartments, or high-end hotel lobby seating areas. It pairs well with minimalist coffee tables and neutral area rugs, creating a calm, inviting atmosphere. Professionals searching for low-profile, modular seating solutions for residential interior design or boutique hospitality projects will find this asset versatile. Its neutral palette makes it easy to integrate into both monochromatic schemes and spaces with bold, colourful accents, providing a foundational piece for any contemporary lounge layout.
