About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a curved tub-style silhouette upholstered in a textured cream boucle fabric finish. Designed with a compact, rounded profile, this tub armchair offers a soft, organic aesthetic suitable for modern interiors. The wrap-around backrest seamlessly transitions into integrated armrests, creating a continuous, cocoon-like form that prioritises comfort. It is fully upholstered in a high-texture cream boucle fabric, providing a tactile, inviting surface. The chair sits on a low-profile circular base, which is partially concealed by the seat's volume, maintaining a clean, minimalist silhouette. Its proportions are well-suited for lounge areas where a statement piece is required without overwhelming the surrounding floor plan.

The download is an 18.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed as a single object with logical grouping for the upholstery and base elements. Users should apply a standard UV map to the boucle fabric to ensure the texture scale aligns with the chair's organic curves. The geometry is clean, allowing for efficient placement within a scene. When integrating into a larger project, adjusting the pivot point to the base allows for easy rotation, particularly if the chair is intended to be used as a swivel seat.

This armchair is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading nooks in a master bedroom. Its neutral tone and soft lines pair well with timber flooring, marble coffee tables, or brass accent lighting. Designers often specify this style of tub chair when looking to add softness to a space dominated by hard surfaces. It is a versatile choice for staging contemporary apartments or high-end hospitality suites where comfort and aesthetic cohesion are essential for the final interior design scheme.
