About this asset

This contemporary round ottoman for SketchUp features a plush white fabric seat set atop a solid, contrasting dark wood base. This compact circular ottoman presents a clean, minimalist silhouette suitable for modern interior schemes. The upper section consists of a cylindrical, fully upholstered seat finished in a light, neutral white textile with a subtle weave. It rests on a recessed, warm-toned dark wood base that provides a grounding structural anchor. The proportions are balanced, offering a low-profile seating solution or footrest. The design avoids unnecessary detailing, focusing instead on the tactile contrast between the soft fabric upholstery and the smooth, hard-surface timber foundation, creating a versatile piece for various settings.

The download is a 2.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this SketchUp model into your project, ensure the object is placed within a dedicated layer for loose furniture to maintain scene organisation. The geometry is clean, allowing for easy placement in tight corners or as a pair in front of lounge seating. You may need to adjust the texture scale of the fabric material to match your project's specific lighting conditions and render settings, ensuring the grain of the wood base remains consistent with other timber finishes in the room.

This ottoman is an excellent addition to residential living rooms, boutique hotel suites, or contemporary office breakout areas where space is at a premium. It pairs effectively with low-slung lounge chairs or sofas, serving as a functional footrest or extra guest seating. Designers often search for this type of compact, round furniture when looking to soften the sharp lines of a space or add a touch of texture to a minimalist lounge arrangement, particularly in high-end residential or hospitality design projects.
