About this asset

This contemporary white fabric rug set for SketchUp features three distinct organic shapes with subtle linear border detailing. This set includes three individual rugs, each defined by fluid, non-geometric silhouettes that contrast with standard rectangular floor coverings. The primary rug is a large, elongated organic oval, while the two smaller pieces feature asymmetrical, soft-cornered forms. Each rug is finished in a clean white tone and incorporates fine, dark linear detailing that follows the perimeter of the shapes, providing a sophisticated graphic element. The profile is low-slung, making these pieces ideal for layering or defining zones within a space without introducing significant height or visual clutter to the floor plane.

The download is a 7.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 3 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these rugs are best utilized as flat surface assets. Users should place them directly onto the floor geometry using the move tool and ensure they are slightly offset from the floor surface to prevent z-fighting during rendering. The fabric texture is mapped for clean application, though users may wish to adjust the scale of the material to suit the specific room dimensions. These assets are lightweight and easy to manipulate, allowing for quick placement in floor plans or interior perspective views.

These rugs are suitable for modern residential living rooms, bedrooms, or boutique hospitality settings where a soft, organic aesthetic is desired. They pair effectively with minimalist furniture arrangements, acting as a grounding element beneath coffee tables or lounge chairs. Architects and designers searching for floor decor or soft furnishings will find these assets useful for adding texture and visual interest to interior visualizations. They work well in projects requiring a clean, neutral palette that emphasizes form over colour or complex pattern.
