About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max stool features a modular design with arched white and navy velvet segments resting on a wood base. Defined by its rhythmic, arch-topped vertical segments, this modular stool presents a striking visual profile. The piece is upholstered in a combination of crisp white and deep navy velvet, creating a bold colour-blocked aesthetic. Each segment features clean piping along the edges, highlighting the curved geometry. The entire structure is mounted on a slim, recessed timber base that provides a grounded look. The compact, block-like silhouette makes it a versatile piece for high-end interiors, offering both sculptural interest and functional seating within a modern living or lounge environment.

The download is a 5.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming to facilitate easy selection and material adjustments. Users should check the pivot point, which is centred at the base for efficient placement in floor plans. The velvet textures are mapped to handle varying light conditions, so ensure your scene lighting is configured with appropriate exposure values to capture the fabric sheen. The modular geometry allows for grouping with other similar units to create larger, custom configurations if required by the design.

This stool is ideal for luxury residential projects, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern retail showrooms where a sophisticated, sculptural accent is needed. It pairs effectively with minimalist sofas or as a pair in front of a contemporary fireplace. Professionals searching for statement seating, velvet ottomans, or modular furniture will find this piece useful for adding texture and colour to a composition. It performs well in both formal living rooms and relaxed lounge areas, serving as a flexible, movable seating solution.
