About this asset

This contemporary grey fabric curved modular sectional sofa for 3ds Max features an organic silhouette with three integrated throw cushions. Defined by its sweeping, organic curvature, this modular sectional sofa offers a soft, inviting aesthetic suitable for open-plan interiors. The piece is upholstered in a textured grey fabric that wraps seamlessly around the rounded backrest and deep seat cushions. Its low-profile design is complemented by a slim, dark base that provides a subtle visual anchor. The configuration includes a three-part modular assembly, allowing for a fluid, continuous form that encourages social interaction. Three scatter cushions in varying shades of grey and white are included, adding depth and comfort to the overall composition.

The download is a 6.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this 3ds Max model into a scene, ensure the pivot point is set to the floor base for accurate placement. The modular nature of the geometry allows for easy snapping within the viewport, while the fabric textures are mapped with standard UV coordinates for quick material adjustments. Users should check the layer hierarchy to manage the cushions independently from the main sofa body, facilitating custom arrangements or lighting adjustments within high-end architectural visualisation workflows.

This sofa is ideal for modern living room designs, luxury hotel lobbies, or sophisticated lounge areas in commercial projects. Its curved geometry works particularly well in large, open spaces where it can serve as a focal point or a divider between zones. Architects and interior designers often specify such pieces when seeking to soften rigid room layouts or create intimate seating clusters. Search for this model when drafting contemporary residential layouts or high-end hospitality interiors requiring organic, fluid furniture forms.
