Contemporary Walnut Timber Room Divider Shelving Unit

This contemporary walnut timber room divider shelving unit for SketchUp features an open-frame walk-through design with fluted accents. Constructed from rich walnut timber, this large-scale room divider integrates vertical open shelving with solid lower cabinetry. The unit is defined by its architectural, walk-through design, featuring a central void flanked by symmetrical shelving bays. Each bay incorporates a series of slim, vertical slats that provide a rhythmic, textured detail to the structure. The shelves are populated with decorative accessories, including bottles, books, and small sculptures, creating a curated, lived-in aesthetic. The overall proportions are expansive, designed to serve as a functional partition within an open-plan interior layout.

The download is a 41.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best managed by maintaining the provided grouping structure to ensure the individual shelf accessories can be toggled or edited independently. Users should place the assembly on a dedicated layer for easy visibility control. To integrate into a scene, align the base geometry with the floor plane and use the scale tool to adjust the overall width if necessary. Materials are mapped with wood grain textures that can be adjusted via the material editor to match specific lighting conditions.

Ideal for defining zones in open-plan residential living areas, high-end hotel lobbies, or executive office suites, this unit provides a sophisticated solution for creating privacy without sacrificing natural light. It functions effectively as a decorative backdrop or a transition piece between distinct functional areas. Professionals might search for this item when specifying bespoke joinery, slatted timber partitions, or feature display walls. It pairs well with minimalist furniture and neutral palettes, where the warmth of the walnut acts as a primary focal point.
