About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp bookshelf features a walnut-brown frame, grey cabinet doors, and an integrated desk with a metal base. This large-scale storage unit combines a tall, open-faced bookshelf with a cantilevered desk extension. The structure is finished in a warm walnut-brown wood grain, contrasted by solid grey panels on the base cupboards and select interior shelf compartments. Several open bays are finished in a crisp white, providing visual depth and geometric interest. The desk component protrudes from the lower left, supported by a minimalist gold-toned metal frame. The unit includes a mix of closed storage at the base and various open display niches, suitable for books, decorative objects, and media equipment.

The download is a 30.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised by component, allowing for easy material replacement or resizing of the desk extension. Users should ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for furniture to manage scene complexity. Texture mapping is applied to the walnut surfaces; these can be adjusted via the material editor to match specific project lighting conditions. The desk and shelving are grouped together, but can be separated if needed for space planning or custom layout configurations within a room.

Ideal for residential home offices, study areas, or modern living rooms, this versatile unit serves as both a storage solution and a workspace.
