Contemporary Blue and Wood Reception Desk

This contemporary SketchUp reception desk features a long, curved blue frame with a natural wood-grain workstation and built-in storage. This professional-grade reception desk showcases a prominent curved blue exterior shell, providing a sleek, modern aesthetic for corporate environments. The interior workspace is finished in a textured wood-grain laminate, offering extensive surface area for multiple staff members. Integrated storage solutions include dedicated compartments for computer towers, printers, and document drawers, ensuring a tidy, cable-managed appearance. The design incorporates a raised front panel to conceal equipment from visitor view, while a small decorative floral arrangement adds a touch of organic softness to the structured, geometric form. It is a robust, functional unit for high-traffic entryways.

The download is a 53 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is structured with nested groups for easy manipulation of the desk and its integrated accessories. Users should place the unit on a dedicated layer for site planning and adjust the material mapping on the wood surfaces to ensure realistic grain orientation. The model is well-scaled for standard office heights, allowing for quick integration into larger lobby layouts. Use the built-in storage geometry as a reference for custom millwork detailing or to populate empty floor plans efficiently.
