Contemporary Walnut and Black Modular Display Cabinet System

This contemporary 3ds Max modular display cabinet system features a walnut-finished glazed section, black open shelving, and white base units. This modular storage assembly comprises a tall walnut-veneered cabinet with two glass-fronted doors over three drawers, integrated with a black open-grid shelving unit. A low-profile white sideboard extends from the base, providing concealed storage, while two floating walnut shelves are mounted to the wall above. The design balances transparency and solid volumes, utilising contrasting wood grains, matte black frames, and minimalist white cabinetry. Precise proportions ensure the unit functions as a cohesive architectural feature, suitable for displaying curated objects while offering practical storage solutions for diverse interior settings.

The download is a 46 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer hierarchies, allowing users to toggle individual components like the glass doors or floating shelves. Textures are applied using standard mapping, and the geometry is clean for efficient scene integration. Lighting setups should account for the internal glass cabinet illumination to achieve realistic reflections and highlights on the glazing. Ensure the unit is anchored to the wall geometry in your scene to maintain scale and correct placement of the floating elements.
