About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max coffee table features a circular walnut tray top supported by a minimalist black metal X-frame base. The coffee table consists of a circular tabletop with a raised rim, finished in a dark walnut veneer that highlights the natural grain. It is supported by a slender black metal base configured in an intersecting X-frame design, providing a stable and airy aesthetic. Included in the set are decorative accessories: a spherical white and brown vase with a clear glass cylindrical element, and a sculptural metallic candle holder with multiple tubular arms. The proportions are compact, making this piece suitable for intimate seating arrangements where surface area and visual lightness are prioritised.

The download is a 41.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for easy selection of the table and accessories independently. The walnut texture is mapped using standard UV coordinates, ensuring consistent grain orientation across the tray top. Users should check the pivot point at the base of the legs for precise placement on floor planes. For optimal results, apply a subtle bump map to the wood surface and ensure the glass material on the decorative vase is set with appropriate refraction indices.

This coffee table is ideal for modern living rooms, hotel lounge areas, or boutique retail spaces. Its neutral palette and clean lines allow it to pair seamlessly with low-profile sectional sofas or minimalist lounge chairs. Designers often specify this piece for staging projects where a sophisticated, uncluttered look is required. It works effectively as a focal point in small-scale seating groups, easily integrated into various interior design schemes that favour a balanced mix of warm timber tones and sharp, dark metal accents.
