Contemporary Transparent Glass and Metal Floor Lamp

This contemporary 3ds Max floor lamp features a tiered transparent glass body and a circular metal base for a sculptural aesthetic. This floor lamp exhibits a minimalist yet striking silhouette, composed of a vertical stack of cylindrical glass segments. The design incorporates a wide, shallow bowl-shaped diffuser at the apex, which appears to house the light source. Each segment is separated by a thin metal ring that provides structural definition and an integrated glow effect. The entire assembly rests upon a flat, circular metallic base with a polished finish. Its proportions are slender and elongated, designed to serve as a focal point in a refined interior, blending transparency with metallic accents.

The download is a 3.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed as a single asset group for ease of placement. The transparent glass materials should be assigned to a high-quality refractive shader to achieve the intended light transmission. Users should ensure the light source at the top and the secondary rings are configured with appropriate self-illumination or photometric light values to match the scene intensity. The geometry is clean, allowing for placement in complex environments without significant viewport lag, provided the stack modifiers remain collapsed.

Ideal for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern executive offices, this floor lamp adds a touch of architectural elegance. It pairs well with minimalist furniture, such as low-profile velvet sofas or clean-lined lounge chairs. Professionals often search for this type of fixture when specifying sculptural lighting for transitional spaces or as an accent piece in a reading corner. Its neutral palette allows it to integrate seamlessly into diverse interior design schemes, ranging from luxury apartments to professional gallery settings.
