About this asset

This contemporary armchair for SketchUp features a sleek natural wood frame paired with a textured teal fabric upholstered seat and back. Defined by its clean, geometric lines, this armchair presents a refined aesthetic suitable for modern interiors. The frame is constructed from light-toned natural wood, showcasing an angular profile that seamlessly integrates the armrests into the rear legs. The deep seat and backrest are upholstered in a tactile, mottled teal fabric, which provides a soft contrast to the rigid, linear structure of the timber. The proportions are balanced, offering a comfortable lounge position while maintaining a compact footprint that works well in both expansive living areas and tighter reading nooks or bedroom settings.

The download is a 2.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working in SketchUp, this model is best utilised by importing it as a component to preserve the hierarchy of the frame and cushions. Users should ensure the model is placed on a dedicated furniture layer to manage scene complexity effectively. Materials are applied as standard SketchUp textures, allowing for quick adjustments to the fabric colour or wood grain scale. For optimal visual results, check the face orientation and apply smoothing to curved edges to maintain geometric integrity during final rendering workflows.

This armchair is an ideal addition to residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading corners in a home office. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables or as a standalone accent piece in a contemporary bedroom suite. Architects and interior designers frequently specify this type of seating when looking to introduce a pop of colour into neutral-toned spaces.
