About this asset

This contemporary 2-seater sofa, modelled for 3ds Max, features a plush sage green velvet finish and tapered dark wood legs. Defined by clean lines and a compact silhouette, this 2-seater sofa offers a balanced aesthetic suitable for modern interiors. The piece is fully upholstered in a tactile, sage green velvet fabric that provides a subtle sheen. It features a structured frame with squared armrests and a bench-style seat cushion construction. The sofa is elevated on four slender, tapered dark wood legs, lending a slight mid-century character to the design. Three decorative scatter cushions are included—two in the matching sage green and one in a contrasting dark charcoal fabric—adding depth and comfort to the overall arrangement.

The download is an 18.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the object is placed on a dedicated layer to manage scene complexity efficiently. The velvet material uses a realistic texture map, which can be adjusted via the material editor to control specular highlights and glossiness. Users should check the scale against standard human anthropometrics to ensure appropriate proportions within the room. For high-quality visualisations, apply a subtle bump map to the fabric to enhance the depth of the velvet pile under specific lighting conditions.

This sofa is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or intimate lounge areas in commercial projects. Its compact footprint makes it a versatile choice for smaller apartment layouts or as a secondary seating element in larger open-plan spaces. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables, textured area rugs, and warm timber flooring.
