Contemporary Sage Green and Timber Murphy Bed with Shelving

This contemporary 3ds Max model features a sage green and natural timber Murphy bed combined with an integrated open shelving unit. This space-saving unit pairs a vertical fold-down bed mechanism with a tall, slender side shelving tower. The primary panel is finished in a muted sage green, accented by circular timber knobs that serve as handles. The structural frame and open shelves are constructed from a light, natural-toned timber, creating a clean, high-contrast aesthetic. The design includes a full-height shelving section with six horizontal tiers, providing versatile storage for books or decorative objects. Its proportions are slender and tall, making it an efficient solution for rooms where floor space is at a premium.

The download is a 41.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical components, allowing for easy selection and material adjustment. Users should check the pivot points for the fold-down mechanism to ensure correct animation if required. The materials are mapped with standard texture coordinates, which can be easily swapped or scaled to match the specific finish of your interior scene. Ensure you apply proper lighting to highlight the depth of the shelves and the matte texture of the green cabinet paneling during final rendering.

Ideal for compact residential projects, studio apartments, or guest rooms, this piece functions as a dual-purpose furniture solution. It integrates well into modern, minimalist bedrooms or home offices where a secondary sleeping area is necessary without sacrificing style. Designers often search for space-saving furniture, wall-mounted beds, or multi-functional storage units to address small-footprint living. This model pairs effectively with neutral wall finishes and soft textiles, providing a practical yet contemporary focal point for any interior design scheme or architectural visualisation.
