About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a striking red leather seat cradled by a dark wood frame and a metallic base detail. This contemporary armchair exhibits a refined silhouette inspired by traditional forms, executed with modern material choices. The seat is upholstered in a smooth, saturated red leather, providing a bold visual contrast against the dark, polished wood frame that curves continuously to form the armrests and back support. A crisp, white rectangular cushion rests against the backrest to offer additional comfort and relief. The base is finished with a metallic trim, grounding the chair with a subtle hint of luxury. Its proportions are compact yet sculptural, making it a distinct focal point.

The download is a 1.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for efficient selection and material adjustments. Users should check the pivot point upon insertion to ensure proper placement on floor planes. The leather and wood materials are mapped with standard coordinates, which can be easily scaled or swapped if custom finishes are required. The geometry is clean, ensuring smooth rendering performance when used in complex interior scenes. Always verify the scale against your project units before final placement to maintain design accuracy.

This armchair is well-suited for high-end residential interiors, particularly in living rooms, studies, or reading nooks where a statement piece is required. Its sophisticated aesthetic also translates well into luxury hotel lobbies, boutique office reception areas, or executive suites. Professionals often search for this type of accent chair when specifying furniture for curated, transitional, or contemporary interior schemes. It pairs effectively with minimalist side tables or as a pair flanking a fireplace, adding both comfort and a strong colour accent to the space.
